About S.E.T.
Where does the salmon fillet in the cooler come from? What ingredients were added to the chicken feed? Consumers want to know exactly what they are buying and eating, especially when it comes to food and beverages. Therefore, BASF has launched the Sustainability, Eco-Efficiency and Traceability (S.E.T.) Initiative.
S.E.T. is based on BASF’s certified and highly recognized Eco-efficiency Analysis. BASF customers can see any time whether and to what extent the starting materials they use to manufacture their products are sustainable. The data are accessible to all customers anywhere in the world via GTNet® (Global Traceability Network), a global platform used in the feed and food industries for targeted sharing of product information material.
Do other suppliers of nutritional ingredients and feed additives offer such information via GTNet®?
BASF Nutrition is the leading organization in the entire food and feed supply chain to be connected to GTNet. BASF is the first organization capable to measure its sustainability claims and to make them available through GTNet. To our knowledge, no other food ingredients or feed additives producer has gone this far yet.
Does the S.E.T. initiative include all BASF products for feed and food?
Yes, the S.E.T. includes all products for feed and food from BASF Nutrition Ingredients. |
